Due to the blockage of the Senkata Plant, suppliers can charge a maximum of Bs100 Bolivianos for vehicle gasoline and Bs300 Bolivianos for diesel oil, with a once weekly periodicity of purchase, Bolivia’s Information Agency (ABI) reported 19. Nov., citing an ANH bulletin.

The agency also prohibited the sale of fuels in drums and other containers, until the restoration of operations at the Senkata Plant.

YPFB Gets New President

(Energy Analytics Institute, Ian Silverman, 19.Nov.2019) — Bolivia’s Interim President Jeanine Añez named petroleum engineer José Luis Rivero as the new president of the country’s state oil and gas company Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB).

“The first message and mandate to our YPFB executive is to begin to recover reserves as the future that awaits us is not very promising if we do not continue with recovery of our gas reserves,” Bolivia’s Information Agency (ABI) reported 19. Nov., citing Bolivia’s Hydrocarbons Minister Victor Hugo Zamora.

Zamora added that in his short time at the ministry that he had noted the institution was “very weak”, and therefore planned to soon render a public report on the technical realities of Bolivia.
