(Energy Analytics Institute, Ian Silverman, 29.Apr.2019) — Siderúrgica del Mutún (ESM by its Spanish acronym) exported 20,000 tons of Bolivian iron to Argentina in the first quarter of 2019, announced ESM President Jesús Lara.

“The goal this year is to export around 150,000 tons of iron, mainly to the Argentine market,” reported online media La Razón, citing Lara. “This will all depend on transport conditions,” he added.

ESM exports Bolivian iron to markets in Argentina and Paraguay, and also sells small quantities to Itacamba in the domestic market.
