Committed towards large utility-scale applications, Sungrow presented its 6.8 MW turnkey solution for 1500Vdc systems, which features an integration of two units of 3.4 MW central inverter and one medium-voltage station. Offering unmatched efficiency of up to 99% and maximum DC/AC ratio of up to 1.5, the solution is completely pre-assembled for easy O&M, eminently reducing the LCOE. Featured by a virtual central solution and over 2 GW of application cases, its 1500Vdc string inverter SG125HV targeting for small utility-scale projects was on display as well.

To address the nation’s growing distributed generation commercial and residential PV segments, the Company showcased the newest string inverters SG33CX-US and SG55CX-US, which are 33 kW and 55 kW solutions optimized for rooftop applications. Residential installation focused products on display were string inverters ranging from 3 kW to 8 kW in size. With compact design and smart management, the products are known for easy installation and monitoring, being conceived to help household owners get clean energy while allowing for significant cost savings.

Factors including lower panel costs and the grid connection of large projects have taken Mexico to new heights in PV capacity and potential. Statistics from the Mexican Department of Energy indicated that the Mexican government has allocated around 4.8 GW of solar through the three energy auctions held to date. Also, 5.4 GW of cumulative PV capacity is expected to be reached by the end of 2019 even though the fourth energy auction was put on hold.

Sungrow is providing its comprehensive product lineup to address the urgent energy demand and drive Mexico to decarbonize its energy economy. In early March, the Company set up distribution channels, with leading Mexican equipment providers.

“We are determined to foster growth for both Sungrow’s and our partners’ businesses,” said Hank Wang, President of Sungrow Americas. “We’ll keep taking the lead in product innovation and understanding the market mechanisms, together with our trusted local network of experts in the Mexican market, in order to optimize the bankability of our products in this exciting and robust region,” he added.
