(Citgo, 9.Feb.2019) Houston-based Citgo Petroleum Corporation is a refiner, transporter, and marketer of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and other petroleum-based industrial products.

Citgo is owned by Citgo Holding, Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Citgo owns and operates three highly sophisticated crude refineries located in Lake Charles, La.; Lemont, Ill.; and Corpus Christi, Texas; and and wholly and/or jointly owns 48 terminals, nine pipelines and three lubricants blending and packaging plants. With around 3,400 employees and a combined crude capacity of approximately 749,000 barrels-per-day (b/d), CITGO is ranked as the sixth-largest, and one of the most complex independent refiners in the United States.

Citgo’s refineries include:

— Lake Charles, La. (425,000 b/d),

— Lemont, Ill., (167,000-b/d), and

— Corpus Christi, (157,000 b/d).

Citgo’s refineries process approximately 200,000 b/d of Venezuelan crude, including high-quality and environmentally-resourced supplies from the Hugo Chavez Orinoco Oil Belt, also known as the Faja.

Lastly, Citgo transports and markets transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and other industrial products and supplies a network of approximately 5,200 locally owned and operated branded retail outlets in 30 states and the District of Columbia.
