Colombia importing 61% of LPG it consumes: Gasnova

HOUSTON, TEXAS (By Ofelia Paredes, Energy Analytics Institute, 11.Sep.2026, Words: 105) — Colombia imports 61% of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) it consumes, according to Gasnova.

As such, the importance of port infrastructure in supporting supply and facilitating delivery to the country’s productive sector.

Colombia’s LPG industry has investments and import projects like Okianus and Puerto Bahía, which are key for ensuring the industrial sector has a reliable energy source in LPG, Gasnova said on 11 Sep. 2026 in a post on social media.
