HOUSTON, TEXAS (Ofelia Paredes, Energy Analytics Institute, 14.Mar.2025) — Excelerate Energy, Inc. and a subsidiary of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on securing a reliable and stable supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) sourced from the US and as early as 2026.
“We are pleased to partner with PV Gas on this significant opportunity,” Excelerate executive vice president (EVP) and CCO Oliver Simpson said 14 Mar. 2025 in a statement released by The Woodlands-based company, which provides floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) and LNG solutions worldwide.
Per the agreement, Excelerate and PV Gas will also evaluate PV Gas’ LNG supply requirements and define a joint strategic framework under which Excelerate and PV Gas can execute LNG sourcing.
