(Energy Analytics Institute, 10.Oct.2024) — Shareholders of Ecopetrol Energia S.A.S E.S.P. voted with an 100% affirmative vote to authorize its liquidator, Christian Schneider Jaramillo, to carry out all the necessary steps for the due liquidation of this company.
Ecopetrol Energia, which was responsible for the commercialization of energy, cancelled its commercial registration the first days of Oct, Bogota-based Ecopetrol announced 11 Oct. 2024 in an official statement.
“The liquidation of Ecopetrol Energia S.A.S. E.S.P. was due to the fact that Ecopetrol is currently the parent company of an electric power transmission company, and current regulations restrict the same group from simultaneously carrying out commercialization and transmission activities,” Ecopetrol said in the statement.
