(Energy Analytics Institute, 6.Jul.2020) — YPFB’s Corporate Occupational Safety and Health Directorate applied its decontamination protocol to two buildings located on Grigota Avenue in Santa Cruz: the National Vice Presidency of Operations (VPNO) and the other, the one for Administration, Inspection and Contracts (VPACF).

“As part of the biosecurity measures, we have proceeded to decontaminate the locations so workers can be in safe environments,” said Corporate Occupational Health and Safety Director Christian Artunduaga in an official statement related 6 July 2020 by Bolivia’s state oil company Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB).

The fumigation was conducted by the Urban Rescue Fire Department (UUBR), and quaternary ammonium was used in the decontamination process to eliminate the presence of any microorganism on surfaces, without causing side effects on human health, announced Alejandro Castillo, head of the unit.
