Colombian Streets Filled With Protests Against Fracking

(Energy Analytics Institute, Piero Stewart, 7.Jun.2019) — Protesters in Colombia took to the streets across the Andean country on Friday 7 June to show their disagreement with the government of President Ivan Duque to move forward with fracking in the country.

Colombia has announced it is moving forward with unconventional pilot projects in Magdalena and Cesar Ranchería to gauge potential to extract and boost crude oil and natural gas reserves and production as well as to gauge community interest.
