— Great Panther Mining Limited (TSX: GPR) (NYSE-A:GPL) reported production results for the 3-mths ended 31 Mar. 2022, from its two wholly-owned operating mines, Tucano in Brazil and Topia in Mexico. Consolidated metal production was 17,913 gold equivalent ounces (Au eq oz), inclusive of 14,319 gold ounces (Au oz) and 173,698 silver ounces (Ag oz). Total gold production at Tucano was 14,037 Au oz, while total silver production at Topia was 290,694 Ag eq oz, Great Panther announced 14 Apr. 2022 in an official stmt.
Trinidad and Tobago
— Trinidad and Tobago’s natural gas production reached 2,877 MMcf/d (2.877 Bcf/d) in Jan. 2022, down 4% vs Jan. 2021 and down 26% vs Jan. 2018, which was the twin-island country’s highest data point in Jan. over the 6-yr study period between 2017-22, according to data from the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries (MEEI).

— A group of 25 opponents to Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro sent a letter to the US president urging Washington to ease sanctions and allow Western oil cos to return to Venezuela. The signatories criticized “domestic political pressures” (i.e. Florida) that they argue has slowed Biden’s tentative outreach to Maduro.
