TechnipFMC said its spoolbase at Açu Port, Rio de Janeiro has carried out its first rigid pipes spooling operation, as part of the Mero 1 project (FPSO Guanabara), located in the Mero field, Santos Basin offshore Brazil. The vessel responsible for the loading and installation on this project is Deep Blue, TechnipFMC’s most modern rigid pipe laying vessel, the co. said 8 Apr. 2022 on Instagram. The Mero unitized field is operated by Petrobras (WI 38.6%), in partnership w/ Shell Brasil (WI 19.3%), TotalEnergies (WI 19.3%), CNPC (WI 9.65%), CNOOC Limited (WI 9.65%) and Pré-Sal Petróleo SA -PPSA (WI 3.5%), representing the union in the non-contracted area.

Mexico

Silver Viper Minerals Corp. (TSXV: VIPR) provided an update on exploration activities within the La Virginia Silver-Gold Project, located in Sonora, Mexico. Exploration efforts since the release of Silver Viper’s Maiden NI 43-101 gold-silver mineral resource estimate have continued to advance w/ exploration drilling at El Rubi and expansion of mapping and sampling coverage across the project area. Recent drilling has been performed at the Paredones Zone on the eastern structural/mineralized trend. Quantec Geoscience contractors have now completed data collection for a 31 line-kms Magnetotelluric geophysical survey covering ~610 hectares (1,500 acres). Final deliverables from the survey are expected in the coming wks, Silver Viper said 8 Apr. 2022 in an official stmt.
