(Energy Analytics Institute, Piero Stewart, 26.Feb.2019) — EP Petroecuador, within the preventive maintenance plan for its offshore installations, carried out work related to changing a 42-inch off buoy hose along the Monoboya X cargo line, which is part of the Balao Maritime Terminal, the state entity announced in an official statement.

The monoboya, anchored some 7.2 km from the shore, is capable of simultaneously loading tankers of up to 100,000 tons (dead-weight) or 700,000 barrels of crude oil.
