(Energy Analytics Institute, Ian Silverman, 1.Dec.2018) — Bolivia envisions a 30% increase in its hydrocarbon subsidy due to the rise in the price of oil in international markets.

The higher oil prices and subsequent subsidy under Bolivia’s General State Budget for 2019, also known as PGE-2019, will result in increased resources destined to the importation of gasoline and diesel, reported online media El Diario, citing Bolivia Economy Minister Mario Guillén.

“Our budgeted subsidy for next year will approximate 4.345 million Bolivianos,” said Guillén.
