Chile To Launch First Thermosolar Plant In Latin America

(Energy Analytics Institute, Aaron Simonsky, 17.Mar.2019) — Chile plans to launch the first thermosolar plant in Latin America. The project will be the first of its kind on the continent and provide energy to some 250,000 homes, reported online media Emol.

With this project, Chile aims to avoid the emission of 643,000 tons of CO2 per year and aims to have 100% clean energy generation by 2040.
