Shell Brasil Signs MOU With Bolivia’s YPFB

(Energy Analytics Institute, Ian Silverman, 23.Dec.2018) — Shell Brasil signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) related to the commercialization of Bolivian natural gas in 2019.

The MOU relates to creation of a strategic alliance for the commercialization of Bolivian gas in the Brazilian market by Shell or a subsidiary company, and contemplates volumes up to four million cubic meters per day (MMcm/d) in 2019, and 10 MMcm/d in 2022, reported online media El Diario, citing YPFB data.

The MOU was signed by Bolivia’s Hydrocarbon Minister Luis Alberto Sánchez, YPFB President Óscar Barriga Arteaga, and Shell Brasil Natural Gas Business Development Alexandre Cerqueira Da Silva.
