Bolivia’s YPFB And Brazil’s Ambar Energía Ink MOU

(Energy Analytics Institute, Aaron Simonsky, 21.Dec.2018) — Executives with Bolivia’s Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) and Brazil’s Ambar Energía signed a Memorandum of Understanding to execute projects for the supply of natural gas and electricity to southern Brazil.

According to the preliminary agreement, YPFB will supply up to 2.1 million cubic meters per day (MMcm/d) of natural gas for the operations of the Cuiabá Thermoelectric Plant. The plant aims to raise its power next year to 1,500 megawatts from 500 megawatts with the assistance of the Bolivian oil company, reported online media La Razón.
