(Energy Analytics Institute, Aaron Simonsky, 4.Dec.2018) — Argentina imported an average 8.9 million cubic meters per day (MMcm/d) of natural gas from Bolivia in November of 2018, almost half the minimum volumes as stipulated in an agreement between the two countries.

According to official data published on the website of Argentina’s National Regulatory Gas Entity (Enargas), energy imports from Bolivia in November of 2018 were down 48% compared to what is established under contractually agreements, reported online media La Razón.

It should be noted that the First Addendum related to the Contract for the Sale of Natural Gas signed between the former Energy Argentina SA (Enarsa), now Integración Energética Argentina SA (IEASA), and Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) established minimum delivery volumes of 17.2 MMcm/d and a maximum of 24.6 MMcm/d for the summer of this year, which spans from Jan. 1 to Apr. 30 and from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31.
