(Pemex, 9.Nov.2018) — As part of the current Pemex business strategy, CEO Carlos Treviño leaves today for Abu Dhabi, where he will participate in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference 2018, to be held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

This is widely considered to be the most important and influential forum of the global oil and gas industry, bringing together worldwide experts and corporations of the industry to share their experiences. Around 2,200 companies and 110,000 people are expected to attend this event which will be held on November 12 to the 15.

Pemex’s participation in this global encounter is aimed at establishing business links with companies interested in investing in Mexico.

Javier Hinojosa Puebla, CEO of Pemex Exploración y Producción (PEP), José Antonio Escalera, director of Exploration, Ulises Hernández, director of Resources, Reserves and Strategic Partnerships, and Rodrigo Becerra Mizuno, Corporate Director of the Information Technologies Department, will also be attending the event.

This is the second time that the state-owned productive company attends this international encounter to strengthen the bonds of reliability that Pemex has achieved with its peers across the globe.

In 2017, during its first participation, meetings were held with several international companies, such as Compañía Española de Petróleo S.A. (CEPSA), which is owned by Mubadala Investment Company, the sovereign investment fund of the United Arab Emirates and one of the largest in the world.

This relationship was consolidated in the joint participation in Round 3.1 for shallow waters, where blocks 16, 17 and 18, located in the Tampico-Misantla Basin, were awarded and adjudicated to the partnership.

ADIPEC 2018 provides an opportunity to strengthen dialogue and joint ventures with some oil companies with worldwide presence, thus strengthening Pemex through new business models.
